Notes |
- Captain Donald John Munro, CMG, RN, was the founder of Clan Munro (Association) in Scotland.
During World War I, Captain Donald designed and built the anti-submarine defences of the Cromarty Firth and Scapa Flow. At that time, the family lived in Inverness. His daughter, Joyce, worked as a wire splicer with a team of young women at the Thornbush Quay on 3-inch wire jack-stays for her father's boom defences.
