• Notes

  Mackenzie says: "He [Philip] married a woman whose Christian name was Mary, with issue - three sons and six daughters - Jonathan, Abraham, Lemuel, Mary, another Mary, Abigail, Sarah, Lois, and Prudence." Mary may have been Philip's second wife. Other references say that Philip was married twice and these children and several others were the product of both marriages. Mackenzie lists one child, Jonathan, that is not listed in other references.
