- In 1789, Alexander is found in Cornwall, Cornwall Township, Stormont County, Ontario, Canada. He had apparently emigrated from Inverary, Argyleshire, Scotland along with his wife, two boys and two girls to Matilda, Dundas County, Canada.
He died in 1802 leaving various parcels of land in Cornwall Township as well as Matilda Township which is three townships west in Dundas County.
