| Notes |
- In 1880, Anthony was a laborer living with his family in Calcasciu Parish, Louisiana. On 30 Aug 1880, the state of Louisiana gave 80.05 acres of land to Anthony in Rapides Parish. on 10 Nov 1892, Anthony bought 162 acres with buildings in Rapides Parish from William C. Nash for $350. On 11 Nov 1893, he purchased 120 acres in Alexandria, Rapides Parish, Louisiana for $150 payable over the course of 10 years.
Anthony sold some land in Rapides Parish on 3 Jul 1897, sold 12.5 acres on 17 Dec 1898 and sold more land (or possibly just the timber) on 12 Feb 1910 to William M. Cady.
Anthony was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church South and on 13 Apr 1907, he was initiated into the Forest Hill Masonic Lodge No. 254. The Masonic records list Anthony as a farmer.
His tombstone reads: "He died as he lived, A Christian."
