- Alexander may have stayed in Scotland when his parents emmigrated to Nova Scotia, Canada. It is assumed that he joined his parents later as there is an Alexander Munro mentioned in a land deed as living next door to Philip. The land (100 acres) was purchased from his father, James in 1851 for 25 pounds. It was located in New Annan and the Counties of Colchester, Wallace and Cumberland.
Alexander is found on the 1871 census as a farmer.
