  • Notes
    • Sir George Gun Munro succeeded his father in Poyntzfield.

He was a man of broad views and great public spirit. He made many improvements on the estate and did much to advance the educational intrests of the parish of Resolis. At his own expense, he built and kept in repair a school and schoolmaster's house in Jemimaville, which was named after his wife. He had the honor of Knighthood conferred on him in 1842 in acknowledgment of his liberality and public spirit.
