His will written 13 Mar 1884 and registered 22 Apr 1884 as #6434 in Morrisburg Registry Office was signed as "David Bedsted"; lists 4 surviving children and a grandson "Ira Walter". Mary, his wife, receives house and contents, etc., for "as long as she lives" and goes to son George David Beckstead.
