  • Notes
    • John married the daughter of James and Catherine (Sexton) McClellan. He enjoyed playing baseball, bowling and duck hunting. We was good at making things. He adopted the initial "W." and called himself John W. Monroe.

He worked as a delivery contractor for Sun. When he retired, on 15 Oct 1954, Sun gave him a pension of $60 per month and $1500 for his truck.

John's father was a Methodist minister, but John did the "unthinkable" - he married a Catholic. This seems to have severed all ties to his family.
