- Albert was born in Rockland, Maine and attended school there. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Northern France, the Rhineland, the Ardennes and Central Europe. He received the Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the European African Middle Eastern Theater Campaign Ribbon.
He worked for the government as a food inspector for 18 years before retiring in 1981. He also worked at Jordan's Meats for 20 years.
He was a member of the VFW, the American Legion, Cornerstone Lodge of Masons, York and Scottish Rite Bodies, Eastern Star, Kora Shrine Temple of Lewiston, Maine, and was a past master of the Cape Elizabeth Grange.
