- James "Jim" served in the Army Air Force from 12 Oct 1943 to 2 Mar 1946. He was an aerial engineer gunner and served in the European, African and Mid Eastern Theaters with the 5-32 bomb squad during World War II. He received his honorable discharge in Fannin, Texas.
