- Thomas was born at sea near the Azores while his parents were enroute from Madras, India to England.
He served as a Captain in the 10th Hussars.
Sir Thomas Munro succeeded his father becoming 2nd Baronet of Lindertis. He was D.L. and J.P. for county Forfar.
He acquired the House of Lindertis and some 6,000 acres in 1838.
He was unmarried and was succeeded by his brother.
