- In 1910, Glenn moved with his family to West Los Angeles, California and attended Santa Monica High School in Santa Monica, California. He entered Hiram College in Ohio in 1914 where he met his future wife, Grace Warrick, who was the daughter of Linley Thomas and Cedore (Leininger) Warrick.
After they were married, they returned to California where Glenn started working for his father in the Munro Hardware store. He became sole owner of the store in about 1943 and managed it until his retirement in 1954 when he sold the store to his brother, Kenneth. Glenn and Grace enjoyed their retirement for many years.
