• Notes

  Minor was an inventor and banker of Baltimore. He changed his surname to Gouverneur. One reference says he was born in 1870; another says he died in 1956. His wife died in 1956 so that date might have been associated with Minor's death in error. His wife was the daughter of Monimia Fairfax and George Davis, Attorney General of the Confederacy.
