- In 1850, Henry and his sister, Mary, were living in Marion, Indiana with Elizabeth Hawkins (age 58).
On 22 Oct 1862, Henry enlisted to serve in the Civil War. The reference says he was 20 years old at the time which would place his birth in about 1842. Census records say he was born about 1847. It is not known which reference is more correct.
He served in Company I, 54th Regiment of the Indianna Infantry. He died of disease in a Hospital in Louisiana.
