  Charles left a will dated 14 Jan 1818 in which he left to his wife, Mary, half of the house and kitchen furniture and all rents and profits from the Mansion house. To his daughter, Sarah, he left the interest on $100 annually and after her death to his grandaughter, Mary, the daughter of Sarah, the same $100. To his daughter, Elizabeth, he left all the residue of the money from his estate. He appointed Benjamin Sayer as his executor. Ref: "The Monroe Book" by Dr. Joan S.
