- Sarah was the daughter of William and Lydia (Brown) Pearse and was a direct descendant of John Howland of the Mayflower.
She and Thomas were married at St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Bristol by Rev. John Usher.
When she died in her 87th year, she was called the widow of Capt. Thomas.
