- In 1850, Thomas was a boot maker living in Braintree, Massachusetts with Charles (age 30) and Mary (age 23) Hobart. A second entry in the 1850 census says Thomas, a boot maker, born about 1823, was living in Stoughton, Massachusetts in a hotel. The two entries are probably duplicates.
