- Ref 2 says Thomas was born "5 of 15 Oct 1794." Ref 3 says he was born in Columbia, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.
He was a sea captain of the sloop "Phebe" out of Bristol, Rhode Island. He died aboard the "Phebe" near Wilmington, North Carolina and was buried at sea.
Error alert: There are some major problems with this family. According to the references, Thomas died at age 27 after fathering seven children in four years. I guess that would kill anyone.
