    • Philip was a native of Auburn, New York. He moved to Pulaski in 1970 and lived on Ramona Beach Road.

      He retired in 1970 after 41 years of service as a Boy Scout executive serving in Middletown, Oswego, Bath, White Plains and with regional positions in New York and Ohio. After retiring, he wrote and collaborated on the published history of Boy Scout camping in central New York.

      He was a 1924 graduate of Solvay High School and graduated in 1929 from Syracuse University. While at SU, he served as an assistant scoutmaster and camp director for the Boy Scouts in Oswego and Oneida.

      Philip was a member of several Rotary clubs and was an honorary member of the Oswego Rotary and editor of the Rotarian Bulletin. Hew was also active with the United Way and served eight years as national treasurer of the Clan Munro Association, U.S.A.
