- Captain James Munro younger of Drummond was a member of the Royal Scots. He served a commander of a company in Colonel John Hill's Regiment in 1692.
He was a 'gallant gentleman'. He was unmarried when he died in Flanders in 1694.

Captain James Munro a Gallant Gentleman dyed in Flanders much regrated being unmarried and much regrated 1694.
Capt James yr of Drummond (FW 277) may be officer of that name (not common in the clan before 1700 in Royal Scots and also company commander in Col John Hill's Regt 1692 (Dalton's Army Lists iii 47, ii 254; Macdonald's Slaughter under Trust 135).
