Notes |
- Major Charles Munro was a member of the Alsace Regiment and commanded the second of two Battalions of Burgundy in the abortive expedition of Mar 1708, which sailed from Dunkirk under Admiral Fourbin for the purpose of exciting an insurrection in Scotland in favor of James VIII, known as the Chevalier. Nothing more is known of him or his descendants. Ref 1 says he commanded two battalions.
