    • John Munro of Fyres was Commissioner of Supply for Ross in 1685, 1689 & 1690.

      Hugh Munro of Fyres married Isobel daughter to Robert Munro of Balconie by whom he had John Hector David Mr Alexander George and Hugh Munros.

      John Munro of Fyres married Christane daughter to Collonel John Munro of Obsdale pitcalnies relict by whom he had Catherine married to Hector Munro of Daan to whom she had no succession.

      John of Fyrish was Commissioner of Supply for Ross 1685, 1689, 1690 (APS viii 470, ix 74, 146), and d Dec 1692 (Heirs 24 May 1714); for Hector of Daan see M/50.

      BIO:Eldest son of Hugh of Fyrish; suceeded to Fyrish estates in 1668. Married Christian, second daughter of Colonel John Munro of Obsdale with issue of one daughter, Catherine who married Hector Munro of Daan without issue. Upon death in 1692 his estates went to his younger brother DAVID.
