    • Ref: "The Munro Tree (1734)" by R. W. Munro - M/97

"Alexander Munro Commissar Deput of Inverness married Katherine daughter to Mr Alexander Fraser Provost of Inverness by whom he has Alexander Seymors Elizabeth."

"Alexander commissary and sheriff clerk of Inverness and Katharine Fraser had John, Robert, Alexander, James and drs Seymors, Elizabeth and Christian (Invass OPRs 1721-3), also Simon (ib. 1741 & Munro Eagle vii 37-8); Seymors, presumably named in compliment to Lady Munro (see Z below) as her sponsor, has been misread as 'John' (Mackenzie 415); Alexander baptd. 1724 may have been eldest surviving son in 1734."

Catherine was the daughter of Alexander Fraser, Provost of Inverness.

The following is a transcription of RW "Billy" Munro's genealogy notes:

[Alexander Munro] «i»Third son of Alexander Munro, Inverness (Milntown of Alness branch) and Catherine Fraser; succeeded father as representative of family; baptized Inverness 24 November 1724; presumably one of children mentioned (though not by name) in will of father's uncle Alexander (d. 1730); he is the only son named in "Munro Tree" (compiled in 1734), so presumably became representative of family after father.
