    • Alexander Munro of Ardullie married the daughter of Major William Cockburn of Stonniflet. He was a writer in Edinburgh. He served as an under clerk of session, and in 1689 he was Commissioner of Supply for Ross. He also served as clerk to Council of War in Scotland at Revolution.

      He had a crown charter of Ardullie in 1684.

      "Robert of Ardullie married Isobell daughter to Alexr. Ross of pitkery by whom he had Alexr. James Hugh Andrew in Coul litster and Robert and a daughter Janet married to Teanard."

      "Alexander, writer in Edinburgh, an under clerk of sessions, had Crown charter of Ardullie 1684, Commissioner of Supply for Ross 1689, clerk to Council of War in Scotland at Revolution, d Feb 1691; suc. by son Hugh."

      Alexander was educated in Edinburgh and became one of the Clerks of the Court of Session.
