- John married the daughter of Alexander Gordon of Carrel, but they had no children so Ardullie was disponed to his brother, Robert.

"Hugh of Ardullie married Helen daughter to Clunes Bailzie of Cromartie by whom he had Alexr. and John who left no succession Robert William Hector and 4 daughters."
"...John m Isobel dr to Alexander Gordon of Carrel without issue, suc. to to Ardullie and disponed it to brother Robert."
In 1666, John inherited "the davoch of the town and lands of Drumcudden in the barony of Delnie, lordship of Ardmeanach, and Sheriffdom of Ross."
He married Isobel Gordon, but they had no sons, so his estate was left to his next younger brother, Robert.
