Notes |
- James owned a buggy-making factory in Paterson, New Jersey and property along Broadway in Paterson. He and Jarusia (Annie) Ann Stilville Cozine, his wife, lived on the corner of 6th and E. 18th St.
The 1860 census lists an unmarried 34 year old James Monroe as a blacksmith in Paterson. The 1880 census lists him as a carriage maker. The 1900 census says Annie had 4 children, 1 still living. Also, an 11 year old white servant girl is listed as living with them.
