- Hector Munro of Pitfure's first wife was the daughter of Neil McKy of Auchness. In addition to the children listed, they had several daughters who "married in Strathnaver."

"George Munro of Linset married Innes of Culorssies daughter by whom he had Hector William John and Charles from whom the Laird of Fowlis redeemed the wadset of Linsetmore."

"Hector Munro of pitfuire married Janet daughter of Neil McKy of Auchness by whom he had Hector William and severall daughters that married in Strathnaver 2 after her death he married a daughter of Hector Munro of Findon by whom he had a son George."
"Hector of Pitfure's second wife was Margaret dr of Hector of Findon, who later m Ronald son of Angus McRonald of Ulladaill; Hecotr's son William lived at Rossal in Sutherland."
Hector purchased the lands of Pitfure in Rogart Parish. He later sold Pitfure and purchased Erribol in Durness parish.
