Hugh Munro, Tain (d. 1744) & [?Christina ?Ross] suc. father as owner of Kiltearn (1756 valuation £132 ), described as 'of Kiltearn' in 1740, 1743, 1761; disponed Kiltearn to Sir Harry Munro of Foulis; late of Kiltearn, now landwaiter at Leith in 1762-7; appointed 21 July 1761, & took up duty at Leith 10 Oct; resigned post 1774; lived at Dub Row, Leith, & in 1776/7 'Directory' Robert Munro is also given with same occupation & address. m. Magdalen Munro (contract 1734, survived husband), son Hugh (on record 1778, in Grenada 1793); drs. Magaret, Ann, & yst James [sic] m. 1786 Alexander Paterson, writer in Edinburgh.
