      "Hugh of Teaninich by Elizabeth daughter to Bailzie Fraser of Inverness had Hugh who succeeded Alexr. factor at Lisbon and Andrew."

      "Hugh yr of Teaninich, Commissioner of Supply for Ross 1690, died in father's lifetime; son Alexander d Lisbon 3 Aug 1740."

      Alexander was a merchant, trading in Lisbon. When he died there, he left a considerable personal estate. He was not married.

      The following is a transcription of RW "Billy" Munro's genealogy notes:

      [Alexander Munro] «i»Second son of Hugh Munro, Younger of Teaninich, & Elizabeth Fraser; merchant trading in Lisbon, where he died unmarried, 3 Aug 40, leaving a considerable personal estate, of which the Lisbon inventory was in the Teaninich Charter Chest (also in National Archives of Scotland, Edinburgh Testaments), had a 'large collection' of Scots songs 'supposed now to be lost' one of which was printed in an edition of Scott's 'Minstrelsy of the Scottish Border' from MSS of David Herd (1732-1810). ?Same as Alexander (b. c.1695)
