  Donald was provost of the collegiate church at Tain. His wife was the daughter of Norman McLeod, the son of McLeod of Lewis. Ref: "The Munro Tree (1734)" by R. W. Munro - M/88 "Donald Munro Provost of Tayne married a daughter of Norman McLeod son to McLeod of Lewis by whom he had George Finlay Hugh and daughters one married to McKenzie of Kilchrist and another to McIntosh of Kellachie."
