      "Mr John Munro Minister of Hakrick married a daughter of Allexander Gun of Braemore by whom he has severall children sons and daughters."

      "John min of Halkirk d 19 Apr 1743 and by Janet Gun of Braemore had John Gun of Braemore who d May 1773, Sir George gun Munro of Poyntzfield who d 1785, Robert, Henry of Granville Nova Scotia who d 1781, David and Janet. Mackenzie is confused and unreliable on this family."

      Janet was the only child and heiress of George Gun, VI of Braemore.
