Notes |
- George was Ensign in Loudoun's Highlanders.
Ref. (1) says that in 1745 when George was a young man, he passed the Novar estate to his cousin, Sir Hector, but ref (2) says the estate went to his uncle, Hugh, upon George's death at age 63.
George is described as "an honest man and a sincere friend." He was not married.
