Glasgow, 1716; inherited Auchinbowie 1720; Commissary of Stirling, 1721; elder of St. Ninian's, 1722; granted trust deed for estate, 1733; suc. 1738 to Riddoch or Reidheugh, near Bearcrofts; d. 12 Oct 1742, having m. 1719 Anne Stewart (d. Edinburgh 1763), with issue - George (1721-93), Robert (1722-43), Alexander (1724-50), Heugh (b. 1729), John (fl 1755), dr.
