      302 2. Hugh, to whom James V. in 1580 granted for his maintenance at school for seven years the Chaplainry of Tarlogie, not exceeding 20 pounds yearly; and in 1586 the same King renewed the grant. ("Origines Parochiales Scotiae," vol. ii., p. 423.) Hugh married Catherine, daughter of John Ross of Ballochskead, with issue--John and Donald, both of whom settled, married, and left issue in Sutherlandshire, but nothing more is known of thier descendants.
