  Ref (1) has Mary numbered 1/12-10/2-41 on p. 192 and 1/12-10/2-42 on p. 318. Mary was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Jonas Allen shortly after her birth. It appears that her surname was changed to Allen at that time. She attended Mount Holyoke Seminary for one year in 1854.
