"On February 23rd 1870, 4:40am, at 106a, West Street, Glasgow, WILLIAM DONALD MUNRO was born; son of Duncan Munro (Joiner, Journeyman) and Isobel Milne Munro m/s Auckland. Marriage of parents: 1867, January* 28th, Anderston Dist., Glasgow. Informant: D. Munro, Father, Present."

*This should be 28 Jun 1867 as per the marriage certificate.

He was a carpenter and helped his father build houses.
