Elliott received land in Loudoun County, Virginia. His will, dated 1798, is recorded in Westmoreland County, and refers to infant children. His executors are Beckwith Butler and John Washington.
Guilford says Elliott died in 1798 before his wife gave birth to their last child, who was unnamed and died at birth. His will was dated 1798 and proved in 1800.

Error alert: There is a lot of confusion about this person. At least one reference says he died young. Some say he married Sarah Jane Harrison and others say Sarah Jane married another person named John Monroe. Some references say he was the son of his father and his second wife, Margaret Washington.

According to the Westmoreland records, he bacame of age in 1718.
Colonel or "Black" Andrew Monroe was a merchant, a Justice and Member of the House of Burgesses. He died in Westmoreland County in 1770 leaving a will dated 11 May 1769 and proved 27 Mar 1770 in which he names his grandchildren.
The executors of his will were Dr. James Bankhead, John Ashton and Spence Monroe.
The Charles C. Munroe reference says Andrew was the son of Andrew and Christina Monroe.
The Gerald Monroe reference says Andrew was the son of William Gent Monroe and Margaret Bowcock.
