The Dundee Council's burial records say she was 30 when she died but the headstone says she was 29 which would place her birth in about 1849. This date appears to be incorrect because the Liff & Benvie Parish record says she was baptized in 1848.

John worked as a shore porter, coachman and carter.

He is found in the 1841 census (book 25 - p. 41-2 - Perth Road, Dundee) and in the 1851 census (age 30).

Dundee Council burial records indicate that an Anne Skinner was buried in lair VII 170 on 23 Feb 1940 at age 69 years or born about 1871. It is not known how she is related.

The Post Statutory records were found by Rob Fenwick 1869.dist.282/5 - Lochee death entry 46. His daughter Isabella was the informant. The Dundee Council says he was 44 when he died and that he was buried in the Western Burial Ground.

The death record says John was 44 when he died (born about 1825) but his headstone says he died 3 Mar 1869 and that he was 47 years old (born about 1822). The 1851 census says he was 30 (born about 1821).

The death record was found in the post 1855 statutory records (1918 - district Saint Peters, Dundee). The informant was a daughter living at 232 Blackness road. She is also found in the 1851 census as age 27 (born about 1824). Her headstone says she died at age 95 (born about 1823). The Dundee Council burial records say she was 95.
