Henry (or Squire) died an insolvent debtor in New York City. His estate value was $478.29, his debts were $490.35. He married Polly (or Mary) Mansfield, the daughter of Joseph and Chloe (Knapp) Mansfield.
He may have been born in Connecticut.
Bessie May Munro, Henry's great granddaughter wrote in 1957: "Squire Munroe died in the year 1824. They told me that he was a hatter and was taking a short-cut across the ice on his way to work and was never seen again. They found his hat on the ice, but his body was never found."
