    [Alexander Monro] «i»Third son of Alexander Monro, of Auchinbowie (d. 1742) and Anne Stewart; baptized 10 August 1724; writer in Edinburgh; died unmarried 15 February 1750, when next of kin was sister [sic] Cecil.

Glasgow, 1716; inherited Auchinbowie 1720; Commissary of Stirling, 1721; elder of St. Ninian's, 1722; granted trust deed for estate, 1733; suc. 1738 to Riddoch or Reidheugh, near Bearcrofts; d. 12 Oct 1742, having m. 1719 Anne Stewart (d. Edinburgh 1763), with issue - George (1721-93), Robert (1722-43), Alexander (1724-50), Heugh (b. 1729), John (fl 1755), dr. Cecil (1719-1786), Margaret (b. 1723, d. young), Grissell (b. 1726, d. young).
