    Notes:

    Alexander was a schoolmaster with S.R.C.K. Ferinlea Bracadale & Shawbost, Lewis. He also served as a catachist.

    He was known as "Big Alexander of the Prayers" (Alasdair Mor nah-Urnuigh).

    In 1842, he came to Brown's Creek (Valleyfield), Prince Edward's Island, Canada. Later he moved to Head of Cardigan (Lorne Valley).
