Per research, Elijah Griffin left Asenath Munro in Ontario and began living with Nancy McClurg (even married?) in Allegan County, Michigan. Asenath became the housekeeper for Edward Spencer Thomas in Ontario; Mr. Thomas left Asenath and her daughter Lillian a sizeable sum in his Will when he died in 1880 (no evidence of marriage). Per other research, William Griffin may have been the son of Elijah's second wife, not Asenath.
