JANE ELIZA MUNRO ASSELS was born 19 May 1973 @ Paspebiac, Quebec, Canada. She died in 1924 @ the North Dakota State Hospital in Stutsman County. According to the Death Certificate signed by Dr. A. W. Guest, she died at the Jamestown, N.D. State Hospital on November 3rd 1924 and had been attended by this physician since August of 1924. Cause of death is listed as Pulmonary Tuberculosis with secondary mental imbalance. Jane is not listed with her family in 1920 in North Dakota, and it is probable that she had been in one Tuberculosis Sanitarium or another for several years before her death in 1924. On the Death Certificate her age is stated as 51 years, her husband is listed as Charles Assels of Norman, N.D., but she is "divorced". Death Certificate #4051

CHARLES ROBERT ASSELS of Stafford Twp, Renville County, North Dakota died May 9, 1944 of Coronary Heart Disease at age 79 years 5 months and 21 days. He was a resident in Stafford Twp for 44 years and in the United States for 56 years. His usual occupation was as a farmer. He was born in Canada and his parents were Charles Robert Assels and Elen Law. He married at the time of death to EMMA Assels; informant on Death Certificate is MRS. ROY ASSELS of Donnybrook. Burial is at Stafford Twp Cemetery, Renville County, N.D. on May 12, 1944.
