«i»What I am skeptical of is that there doesn't seem to be any evidence to show that A) Robert Munro b.1730 and B) Alexander Munro b.1740 were even brothers and/or that either of them were the sons of another Alexander Munro b.1700.

I have found that birth certificates do exist for the second generation of children of A) Robert Munro: A1), A2), and A3).

And there is also a birth certificate for James Munro b.1791, son of Alexander Munro (b.1740), but I think the researcher has placed his birth of 1740 far to early, for having a son in 1791 would make him 51 - not impossible in those days, but there is a good chance that this Alexander is my 4th great grandad whose youngest child was born 1812, at which date he would be 72 if born 1740. So I think that that 1740 date is merely a guess. And like I said I don't think there is any proof for that B) Alexander Munro as being the brother of A) Robert Munro b.1730 in Erribol. That Alexander having his son James in the village of Ceanabinne, Durness.
