Radley; suc. to Auchinbowie on death of uncle David in 1905, sold it to cousin Major George Nowlan Monro 1910; Board of Agriculture inspector from 1899, principally for business under Food & Drugs & Fertilizers Acts; private secretary to successive Presidents of Ministry Agriculture & Fisheries 1915-19; Principal Clerk 1919; C.B. 1919; d. (result of an accident) in hospital 28 April 1960 (funeral in Norfolk), having m. 1910 Geraldine Marion Murray-Johnson, with issue - David (1912-14), Neil (b. 1915) & 1 dr. Jean (b. 1916)

George Home Monro, born on the 28th of November, 1840, and emigrated with his brother Alexander to New Zealand about 1862, where on the 27th of March, 1873, he married Isabella Selina, youngest daughter of William Wrothsley Baldwin of Stedehill, Harietham, Kent, with issue--1, Alexander William; 2, Charles George; 3, George Home; 4, Eliza; and 5, Jane. He died in New Zealand in 1885

May 1805; admitted W.S. 5 March 1829 but did not practise; suc. to Auchinbowie 1835 on grandmother's death & adopted surname Binning Monro; exhibited at Royal Scottish Academy; took Sophia as heir of entail on death of brother George 1884 & d. Oxford 12 December 1891, having m. 1835 cousin Harriet (d. 1893) dr. of Prof. Alex Monro (Tertius) with issue - David (1836-1905), Alexander (b. 1838), George Home (1840-85), Charles Carmichael (b. 1851) & 2 drs; 3 sons (James, Robert, & John) d. inf.
