Elijah married Asenath Munro on 6 May 1854 in Yonge Township, Leeds Co., Ontario, Canada. Asenath (daughter of Alfred Alpheus Munro and Lydia Ayers) was born on 2 Sep 1838 in Mallorytown, Yonge Township, Leeds County, Ontario, Canada; died on 4 Oct 1889 in DeLand, Florida, United States of America. Married:
Per research, Elijah Griffin left Asenath Munro in Ontario and began living with Nancy McClurg (even married?) in Allegan County, Michigan. Asenath became the housekeeper for Edward Spencer Thomas in Ontario; Mr. Thomas left Asenath and her daughter Lillian a sizeable sum in his Will when he died in 1880 (no evidence of marriage). Per other research, William Griffin may have been the son of Elijah's second wife, not Asenath.

2. William Griffin was born on 12 May 1869; and died.
