    Jonathan was a Colonel in the militia. In the War of 1812 he served as a superintendent of certain fortifications in Boston Harbor.

    Error alert: The "History and Genealogy of the Lexington, Mass. Munroes" shows Jonathan Page married to two different women named Lydia Munroe. One of these marriages must be in error, but it is not known which.

    The "History and Genealogy of the Lexington, Mass. Munroes" shows Jonathan Page married to both this Lydia Munroe and to Lydia Munroe 11-82-1. One of these marriages must be in error, but it is not known which.

    Notes:

    John Munroe marched to the relief of Fort William-Henry in 1757. He was a member of Captain Parker's company and took part in the battle at Lexington on 19 Apr 1775, marched to Cambridge with the company on the day of the battle of Bunker Hill, and was in the campaign, in 1776, in the Jerseys. He and his wife were admitted to the church in Lexington on confession, in 1757. He probably resided in Woburn a portion of his life.

    One reference gives his marriage date as 23 Dec 1757.

    «i»Dorothy [Daniel's wife] was appt. admin. of his estate 25 Mar. 1733 and presented inv., but by 10 Apr 1771, the wid.'s thirds were divided among the survivors. Daniel, "eldest son," rec'd the whole of the real estate and was ordered to pay brethren and sis., all named, their £84.19.05 shares (Middlesex co. Pro. No. 15659). By 10 Apr. 1771, Sarah had d. as the distribution of her estate included the other ch. and the "lawful heirs of Sarah, dec'd." Since these daus. are always called Munroes, they may not have m.«/i»
