Notes:

Daniel was a farmer in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania until he bought a farm in Columbia Township, Bradford County, Pennsylvania in 1865. He served as commissioner of Bradford County for two terms, 1878 to 1884, helping to superintend the building of the Bradford County Home for the helpless in 1880.

On 1 Sep 1875, he signed the charter of the Sylvania Presbyterian Church. He was a loyal member of this church.

Daniel married Malinda Card on 30 Mar 1853 in Prob., Sullivan Twp., Tioga Co., Pennsylvania. Malinda was born on 17 May 1832 in Prob., Rhode Island, USA; died on 21 Aug 1917 in Oak Hill, Troy, Pennsylvania, USA. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Malinda was the daughter of Robert and Mary (Gardner) Card. She was born in either Rhode Island or Pennsylvania.

Joseph married Mary Monro in May 1822 in Portsmouth, Newport Co., Rhode Island, USA. Mary (daughter of Bateman Monro and Susannah Durfee) was born on 10 Aug 1802 in Portsmouth, Newport Co., Rhode Island, USA; died on 15 Feb 1842 in Sylvania, Bradford Co., Pennsylvania, USA; was buried in Card Cem.. Notes:

Mary married Joseph Reynolds Bradford (1) or Joseph A. Bradford (2) in Mar 1824 (1) or May 1822 (2). He was the son of Daniel Bradford. Joseph was of Warren, Rhode Island. He married (2) Mary F. Merrill on 13 Apr 1843 and they had two children. Joseph then married (3) Harriet Gaylord of Tioga County, Pennsylvania on 30 Nov 1858. They had no children.

It's possible that data from two different individuals are mixed here.

Joseph and Mary went to Pennsylvania from Rhode Island in 1829 and settled in Sullivan Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania in 1836. Before then they lived in Smithfield and Columbia Townships in Bradford County, and Rutland Township in Tioga County.

He contracted for four adjoining tracts of land totaling about 146 acres 58 perches in Sullivan Township, receiving deeds for acreages when full payment was made. He was a farmer.
