Lt., Sutherland Regt. of Fencible Men (War Office, 24 July 1779); disposition by Hugh Munro of Achany (1781) to sons George & William excludes 'Lieut. Alexander Monro of the Sutherland Regiment of Fencibles my brother german & his descendants' from any benefit 'because his conduct for many years back hath displeased me as I am persuaded it hath his other relations & friends'.
