In 1841, Peter was one year old and living with his parents at Easter Achtuie.

In the record of his marriage to Margaret, Peter is described as follows:

"On the 2nd day of June 1865 at Birken Hill, St. Andrews Lhanbryd, Moray, after Banns according to the Forms of the Free Church of Scotland. Peter Munro, agricultural labourer, aged 24 of Linkwood Parish of St. Andrews Lhanbryd. The son of William Munro, agricultural labourer and Elizabeth Brown..."

In 1869, Peter was working as a railway porter.

On the 1881 Census for South Leith, Peter is found listed as living at 144 Leith Walk, age 41, lorryman, born in Glenurquhart.

Peter is found on the 1891 Census for South Leith as living at 144 Leith Walk, age 50, lorryman, born in Glenurquhart, Invernessshire. He was living with his wife and three children.

Peter married Margaret McKenzie on 2 Jun 1864 in Birken Hill, St. Andrews Lhan, Elgin, Moray. Margaret was born about 1842-1843 in Birnie, Morayshire, Scotland; died in in Of, Birken Hill, St. Andrews Lhan, Scotland. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Notes:

In one place, Ref. (1) gives Margaret's birthplace as Birnie, Morayshire. In another it says she was born in Elgin.

In the record of her marriage to Peter, Margaret (or Mary) is described as follows:

"Margaret McKenzie, domestic servant, aged 22 years of Birken Hill, St. Andrews Lhanbryd. The daughter of Murdoch McKenzie, Shepherd and Grace Robertson."

In 1881, she was living with her husband and family at 144 Leith Walk in Leith, Scotland

In 1841 he was living with his family at Easter Achtuie.

William is listed as having several occupations. In 1841, he was working as a cotter. In 1865 he was an agricultural laborer, in 1869 he was a mason's laborer, and at his death in 1876, he was listed as a contractor's laborer.

William died on 11 Nov 1876 at 1 Carlyle Place, Norton Park in Edinburgh.

Elizabeth was the daughter of William Brown, who was a shepherd.

In 1841 Elizabeth (or Eliza) was 25 years old and living with her husband and family at Easter Achtuie.

She died on 12 May 1869 at 72 Grove Street in Edinburgh, age 59.
