    In the record of his marriage to Margaret, Peter is described as follows:

    "On the 2nd day of June 1865 at Birken Hill, St. Andrews Lhanbryd, Moray, after Banns according to the Forms of the Free Church of Scotland. Peter Munro, agricultural labourer, aged 24 of Linkwood Parish of St. Andrews Lhanbryd. The son of William Munro, agricultural labourer and Elizabeth Brown..."
